2025 - ReefScape

Game Explanation:

The 2025 Singularity season is underway, and our game is named Reefscape. The primary objective of the game is to collect algae and coral. The algae are large rubber balls, and the coral is made out of PVC pipes. In the center of the playing field, there is a reef that has branches where you can score both algae and coral. At the start of the match, there is a 30-second autonomous period where the robot is pre-coded to do tasks. During the driver-operated section of the game, the robot can get coral from the human player station or from the ground. The robot will try to score the coral onto the branches of the reef to score points. The higher that the coral is placed on the reef, the more points the team receives. The robot can also place algae into the processor, which is on the ground at the human player station. Once it is placed in the human player station, the human player can throw the algae into the Barge for extra points. The barge is a long bar that runs across the top of the field. The last 30 seconds of the match are called "Endgame." During this time, the robots can go to the barge where there are 3 cages hanging from the ground at different heights. The lower that the cage is to the ground, the more points a team can score from hanging on it.
