Requirements for Joining

Parents, please complete the following by Jan. 10:

1. Complete Saline Area Schools online medical authorization form.

2. Complete the Slack Consent and Release on ParentSquare.

3. Pay the team dues on RevTrak.

4. Have your student register on the FIRST website (see below).

5. Fill out FIRST's consent and release forms (see below).

Instructions for NEW Members who have NOT previously done FTC/FLL:

1. Go to the FIRST website (firstinspires.org) and click ‘register’ in the top right corner of the screen. 

2. Fill out the form with the STUDENT’s information - parents will create a separate account later in the process. 

3. A popup showing the various resources on the FIRST site will pop up. Feel free to close this and click “don’t show again.” 

4. You will be prompted to complete your youth profile. All information should be self explanatory.

5. Once you reach the parent information page, click invite parent/guardian and put in an active email. FIRST will send a link to this email for parents to make their own FIRST account. Follow the link sent to the parent’s email to complete this process. 

6. After the parent account has been created, follow the separate consent & release form instructions to sign these forms using the parent account.

7. Head to the ‘My Teams’ tab and select ‘apply to a team’ 

8. Under program, select FIRST Robotics Competition 

9. For team number, enter 5066 

10. Click apply 

11. You’re now officially on our team!

Instructions for Returning Members 

1. Sign into your student FIRST account - it will most likely ask you to confirm your information and accept this year’s policies. 

2. Head to the ‘My Teams’ tab and select ‘apply to a team’.

3. Under program, select FIRST Robotics Competition. 

4. For team number, enter 5066. 

5. Click apply. 

6. Have your parent follow the separate consent and release form instructions using their FIRST account.

7. You’re now officially on our team!
